DEEP IN THE SOUL OF AMERICA LIES THE UNTAUGHT HISTORY OF BLACK MEN AND WOMEN WHO HELPED BUILD THIS GREAT NATION
The stories of people like Frederick Douglas, who went from slave to abolitionist reformer. Hiram Revels, the first Black politician elected to the senate from Mississippi in 1870. Alexander Lucius Twilight, who was the first black man to earn a bachelors degree and first state elected official in 1836 (Vermont).
These stories need to be told!
Join us for our celebration of Black History Conference and be inspired by stories of those who overcame all odds to build the the land we call home. Registration is required to attend.
