What is CEOs in Schools? On February 19th, 2021, nearly 170 Tampa Bay area CEOs will volunteer their time with a Hillsborough County Public elementary school. Business Leaders will have the opportunity to, firsthand, witness what our public schools educators and students experience every day. Business leaders will gain a new perspective on the vital role our schools play in preparing students for success, while also lending their own perspective and insights. A Hillsborough Education Foundation and Vistra Communications initiative, in partnership with Hillsborough County Public Schools, CEOs in Schools serves to connect business leaders with the workforce of the future. CEOs in Schools is a catalyst for big advances that are possible from just one day of change.
The Benefits: CEOs in Schools provides benefits for schools, students, CEOs and the community:
Students benefit from meeting positive role models and seeing professionals show an interest in them.
CEOs learn about the challenges and opportunities in public schools that are preparing our future workforce.
These new relationships between CEOs and principals can result in solutions that make our entire community better. The results are limitless.
When you register for a school, you will receive an email providing you with the school information and the principal will reach out to you in short order.
A virtual kickoff event will take place on January 13th at 3pm to help set the stage for the February 19th volunteer day. Additional information will be emailed directly to you as we approach the date.
Plenty of schools are still available. We sincerely hope you can give your time and knowledge and take part in this unique experience! Together we can make a difference!
