Virtual Organ & Trumpet Concert

The United Methodist Church of Sun City Center, 1210 Del Webb Blvd. West, welcomes Gerry Bell, a local trumpeter to its campus for a virtual concert with church organist Keith Rasmussen at 3:00 pm Sunday, February 21, 2021.

Gerry Bell has had an extensive career playing for a number of community concert bands, as well as big band stage bands. He is currently the bugler for the Valencia Lakes Military Veterans Club, and a member of the performing brass ensemble, Florida Brass. Bell also has a solo act, Ger’s Canned Jam, which has entertained audiences at various VFW and American Legion events in the Bay area.

Rasmussen earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Andrews University, and his post graduate work was accomplished at the Eastman School of Music in New York. He has served as a music educator, a music chair and as both a part time and fulltime music director in colleges and churches for 40 years in the United States and Canada. He has been serving as the fulltime organist and associate director of music at United Methodist Church of Sun City Center for three years.
