25th Annual Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce
Where Every Hole is the 19th Hole Golf Tournament
The Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce (GRCC) hosted their annual Golf Tournament themed Where Every Hole is the 19th Hole.  The event took place on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Summerfield Crossings Golf Club and the day was the epitome of Chamber of Commerce Weather.  This was the perfect backdrop for players and non-players alike to visit the vendors set up along the perimeter of the Putting Contest.  Among the vendor spots, Preservation 1st Financial Group, Bryan Hindman Electric, First Citrus Bank, Smile 360 Implant & Family Dentistry, GTE Financial, Motion ChiroTherapy, Angeloni Tax Advisory Group, Bahama Breeze, DiMisa 721 Gourmet Catering, Image 360–Tampa/Ybor City, Papa John’s - Riverview, Rodan + Fields - Jennifer King, Salty Shamrock, Selfie Subs, Tea, Bowls and Desserts and Truly Nolan were on site providing tasty treats, golfing items and even massages for everyone to enjoy prior to the tournament.
Before to the shotgun start there were many opportunities for the guests to try their luck at winning some fantastic prizes.  The Raffle Room contained dozens of terrific baskets and other items donated by the generous members and friends of GRCC.  A big hit introduced in 2017 made another appearance this year – The Wagon of Cheer.  GRCC Ambassadors and Board Members contributed top shelf liquors to create this bar stocking paradise that raised over $2,000 for the chamber.
Of course, the most anticipated moment of the day, the annual Ball Drop, was once again sponsored by Bryan Hindman Electric, LLC.  Over $2,500 worth of ball drop numbers were sold this year. Wayne Crossley, Southshore Handyman Services LLC, was the very happy winner of the ball closest to the pin and was present at the time of the drop which means he walked away with 60% of the pot.
Immediately following the Ball Drop, Marine Corps League, Sgt. Walter P. Ryan Detachment presented our National Anthem and an official 21 Gun Salute to signal the beginning of the tournament.  The 28 teams enthusiastically departed the clubhouse for a spirited time on the course.  There were those who were serious about winning the tournament and others who just wanted to have fun with their friends.  Keeping with the theme, many holes had individual
competitions and games, including putting with a hockey stick. A grateful thanks to our beverage sponsors First Citrus Bank, Smile 360 Implant & Family Dentistry, Riverview Mortgage and RSC Construction and Painting, LLC for keeping us hydrated during the tournament and a special thank you to Summerfield Crossings Golf Club for their hospitality and for welcoming the 25th Annual Golf Tournament for our GRCC Members.
