    Holiday Hullabaloo at
    Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce
    Monthly Member Luncheon
Thanks to their Taking Care of Business Group

On Tuesday, December 18, 2018 the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce (GRCC) hosted their monthly luncheon event at The Regent, 6437 Watson Road, Riverview, FL. GRCC’s Taking Care of Business (TCOB) Group sponsored this Holiday Hullabaloo for the 3rd year in a row.  Reverend Susan Hill, Presbyterian Church of Bloomingdale, provided the day’s invocation.

GRCC President Michelle Mosher, Southshore Insurance Professionals, LLC, welcomed the group.  Then, leading the room this month in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance was 2018 Honorary Mayor of Riverview Dr. Bryan Thatcher.  This month’s Ambassador of the Month certificate was presented to Janet Noah, The Bridges Retirement Community.  Janet’s previous experience as a chamber professional and being a GRCC Ambassador for several years definitely well qualifies her for this award.  Most recently, Janet has been serving as Leader of this tremendous team.  Ambassador of the Year Joe Eletto, Century 21 Beggins, was delighted to present the award to Janet this month.

Leslie Forrester, Quality Life Massage Therapy and Jerry Rothstein, Keep I.T. Simple Computer Services, as the Co-Leaders for TCOB, spent a few moments at the microphone telling the crowded room about the group.  They both expressed their gratitude and emotions for not only the business they have established within the group but also the friendships and feeling of family that they receive.  Invitation was made for everyone to come check it out on Thursday mornings at The Alley at SouthShore from 7:30 am to 9:00 am.  The 9 Star Sponsors for this event were then each allowed two minutes at the microphone to promote their membership.  They were:

o          Pearl Chiarenza, Bodyworks Health & Wellness Center
o          Joe Eletto, Century 21 Beggins - Joe Eletto
o          Stuart Mackey, Mackey Productions, LLC
o          Gary Parsons, Movement Mortgage - Gary Parsons
o          Leslie Forrester, Quality Life Massage Therapy
o          Alison Farnan, Satin & Lace Bridal Boutique
o          Kendra Wilson, Suncoast Credit Union - Riverview Service Center
o          Faith Hanaway, The Alley At SouthShore
o          Dr. Bryan Thatcher, Thatcher Properties

Dr. Thatcher, Honorary Mayor of Riverview, used his two minutes to deliver a Proclamation to long-time community resident and GRCC member, Donald Williams.  The Proclamation was to acknowledge Donald’s fine example of extraordinary citizenship.  And although Donald stands less that five feet in height, Dr. Thatcher pointed that he ‘stands TALL’ in his book.

President Mosher reminded everyone that the Annual Dinner, “Oh What A Knight!”, is scheduled for January 11th and it is now time to get your tables reserved. This month’s Military Recognition and Appreciation was provided by Military Affairs Committee Chairman Joe Eletto, Century 21 Beggins.  Joe read some very moving words about Gold Star Mom and My Warriors Place Founder, Kelly Kowall before presenting her with a Certificate of Appreciation.

It was at this December luncheon that the 54 nominees for Business of the Year were told which of them had made it to the finalist categories.  The actual winners will be announced at GRCC’s Annual Dinner on January 11th.  President Michelle Mosher and Executive Director Tanya Doran presented finalist awards to the following businesses:
