On Tuesday, May 4th, 2021, Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce (GRCC) investors joined together to celebrate the One Year Anniversary of Maple Street Biscuit Company in Riverview. Owners Troy Gibson and Steve Moran, as well as General Manager Daniel Steffin, were in attendance to support the celebration. Following the ribbon cutting ceremony attendees were encouraged to enjoy a fresh and delicious breakfast.
Maple Street Biscuit Company was started by Scott Moore and Gus Evans in Jacksonville, Florida in 2012. Their goal is to make a difference and to be a part of the community. You’ll notice a lot of community style seating for you to meet your neighbor and to enjoy their signature flaky buttermilk biscuits. They serve comfort food with a modern twist. The Riverview location opened during the middle of the COVID-19 shutdown, but with the support of the community, they survived and are now thriving. They are extremely thankful for the community support during these difficult times.
There was a proclamation delivered by 2020 GRCC President, Mike Jones, Florida DOE Vocational Rehabilitation. He recognized May 4th, 2021 to be Maple Street Biscuit Company Day and asked attendees to duly note the occasion by remembering that at Maple Street Biscuit Company, they help people, serve others, and they are a part of the community.
Maple Street Biscuit Company is located in the plaza to the left of Panera Bread on Big Bend Road & US 301. You will also find Willie Jewell's Old School Bar-B-Q in the same plaza.
