Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce Celebrates
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for ECHO Riverview Resource Center

The Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce joined with valued member, ECHO (Emergency Care Help Organization), for an exciting Ribbon Cutting Ceremony celebrating the Grand Opening of their newly expanded Resource Center in Riverview!  The large crowd of attendees were welcomed by the ECHO directors and staff, and many guest speakers were there to give tribute, including Commissioner Gwen Myers, ECHO Board of Directors President Lisa Tackus, Riverview Center Manager Savanna Thompson, and ECHO Executive Director Eleanor Saunders.

ECHO’s mission is to assist residents of Hillsborough County in crisis with emergency food and clothing, offering life stabilizing programs and resources. The Emergency Care Help Organization (ECHO) provides immediate relief in the forms of food, clothing and household items to those residents of Eastern Hillsborough County that have experienced a recent emergency. Since its inception in 1987, ECHO FL has assisted over 225,000 individuals, over half of whom were children, with the basic life necessities.  The ECHO Riverview Resource Center is located at 10509 Riverview Drive, Riverview.

At the Ribbon Cutting celebration, there was a Proclamation delivered by GRCC Chair of the Board, Tammy See of OEL Heating and Cooling.  She recognized August 3, 2023, to be ECHO Riverview Resource Center Day, and asked attendees to duly note this occasion and remember that ECHO is, “Bridging the Gap Between Crisis and Stability!”
