GRCC Celebrates Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for High 5, Inc.'s 60th Anniversary!

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for High 5, Inc.’s 60^th Anniversary!
 
The Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce celebrated a multi-chamber event for valued member, High 5, Inc., with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, for their monumental 60^th Anniversary!  The celebration lasted from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with the actual Ribbon Cutting happening at 10:00 AM.  A host of activities were available to the attendees, including swimming, laser tag, pickleball, and tennis.  There was live music, games, prizes, raffles, and more.  Many elected officials joined the celebration, including Representative Danny Alvarez, staff from the office of Senator Danny Burgess, MarDee Buchman from the office of Congressman Vern Buchanan, Commissioner Michael Owen, and Hillsborough County School Board Member, Patti Rendon.

High 5, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that has been impacting the community for 60 years.  They work hand-in-hand with their membership and community partners from all walks of life to provide the after-school, water safety, special needs education, and sports and recreation services we all need to live, thrive, and survive. High 5 is a family-first multi-purpose facility and one of the finest sports and rec facilities in the Brandon area, dedicated to making positive impacts on the lives of residents in the region and beyond.  High 5 Inc. is located at 405 Beverly Blvd., Brandon, Florida, 33511.

At the Ribbon Cutting celebration, there was a Proclamation delivered by GRCC Board Member, Dawn Myers of Myers Law, PA.  She recognized May 20, 2023, to be High 5, Inc. Day, and asked attendees to duly note this occasion and remember at High 5, Inc., “Not only are you welcome, it is WHERE YOU BELONG!”
