On Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021 the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce (GRCC) hosted their Virtual Monthly Investor Meeting on Zoom. President Elect Michael Broussard from The Flying Locksmiths provided the day’s invocation. Leading the meeting this month in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance was LeRoy Dennison from Friends of Alafia. Richard Rohde from R Processor, Inc. recognized the service of Lesley Lykins (Commander, United States Navy Reserve) from South Bay Hospital during the Military Recognition.
GRCC President Janet Noah from The Bridges Retirement Community started the meeting by recognizing and congratulating the exceptional 2020 GRCC Businesses of the Year and Award Winners:

President Noah also recognized GRCC’s Debbie Kirkland and her brand-new title of Director of Investor Relations. Noah also mentioned the ongoing GRCC Marketing and Branding Series, a 6-part series of virtual workshops designed to help educate investors and build up their marketing footprint.
At this month’s meeting, Debbie Kirkland, GRCC Director of Investor Relations, welcomed six (6) brand-new GRCC investors. 2020 GRCC Shining Star Tammy See from OEL Heating & Cooling provided recognition to the forty-six (46) valued renewing investors.

Jennifer Caskey from CenterState Bank (Riverview) discussed how proud her organization is to have renewed with GRCC for their 22nd year and also how important it is to stay connected with the chamber.
During this meeting, Amanda Ricks from First Citizens Bank recognized the March Investor Spotlight, Michelle Landy, St. Joseph's Hospital - South. Landy has been with BayCare for 11 years, and was recently promoted to Director of Operations for the hospital. Jeff Caetano, Communications Coordinator, then chose the April Investor Spotlight to be Tammy See from OEL Heating & Cooling.
The guest speaker for this month’s meeting was Jennifer Whelihan from the Hillsborough County Economic Development. She provided investors with important information on the Economic Development Innovation Initiative (EDI2). EDI2 has a program-oriented framework, providing grant funding and support for large-in-scale events or opportunities that enable entrepreneurs to achieve success. Through the EDI2 program, Hillsborough County is strengthening services and resources such as high-quality mentors and support structures, access to capital, collaboration of entities, commercialization of research, and advocacy that directly support entrepreneurs.
GRCC Treasurer-Elect Christian Beiter from Preservation 1st Financial Group, LLC provided an update on the 27th Annual Golf Tournament. “Horsing Around the Course” will be held on May 1st at Summerfield Crossings Golf Club. Sponsorships and tournament entries for individuals and foursomes are still available.
Janice Bayruns from FirstLight Home Care announced the return of Virtual TurboChatter NetworkNite. During this event, investors will have the opportunity to network with numerous individuals in a very fast paced environment. Nikki Foster from The Mosaic Company provided information on GRCC’s wildly popular Teaching to Excellence, which will be held in August.
GRCC Events Manager Gabby Morford updated investors on the return of Ribbon Cutting ceremonies in our community. Sierra Carch, GRCC Administrative Services Manager & Jeff Caetano then announced the door prizes that were awarded to meeting guests.
