    Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce
    Celebrates July Luncheon

On Tuesday, July 26, 2022, the Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce (GRCC) hosted their Monthly Investor Meeting at the beautiful Winthrop Barn Theatre in Riverview.  A delicious lunch was provided by 3 C’s Catering, and Mike Jones, of Florida DOE Vocational Rehabilitation, delivered the day’s Invocation to begin the meeting. Leading the attendees this month in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance was Retired Army Sergeant First Class Richard Martin, of Martin Security Services LLC, this month’s military recognition recipient whose service and honors were recognized by the GRCC Military Affairs Committee Leader, Rich Rohde, of R Processor, Inc.

2022 GRCC Chair of the Board, Michael Broussard, The Flying Locksmiths, started the meeting by recognizing local elected officials in attendance, including Melissa Snively, Hillsborough County Public Schools Board Member; and Hillsborough Soil & Water Conservation District Supervisor, Mark Proctor.  Broussard continued by recognizing the past Presidents and Board Chairs of Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce, as well as the current Board of Directors who were in attendance. Special thanks were given to the audio and visual support for the luncheon provided by DJ Seth Dugan, Doogie Entertainment; photography by Gerardo Luna Photographs; and linens provided by Susan Williams of Fancy That Specialty Linens.

Board Chair Elect, Tammy See, OEL Heating & Cooling, came forward and recognized the valued Renewing Investors in attendance.  Following the Renewing Investors, a special recognition was given to Bob Rodriguez of George’s Mower Service, as he retires from the business staple after 48 years and is closing the business.  Chris Nelson of LegalShield read his bio and the audience enthusiastically congratulated him on his long tenure in the business and community.

The sponsor for the luncheon was Tampa Bay Water, with a presentation delivered by Charles Carden, Tampa Bay Water General Manager, followed by a question and answer session.  Following the sponsor’s presentation, Kristi McCart gave an update on the upcoming event, Teaching to Excellence, reminding the crowd of the importance of recognizing our community educators and the opportunity this presented to the businesses by way of sponsorship and volunteering.

Board Member Christian Beiter of Preservation 1st Financial Group, along with the many table hosts, gave an enthusiastic welcome to the 16 new Investors added to the Chamber the preceding month.  The following were welcomed to the Chamber with much appreciation:
